Create clever cuteness

One of the things I enjoy in life is creating cute and funny cross stitch pattern and kits that make me and everyone else smile.

Why cross stitch?

Cross stitching is the perfect creative outlet for many reasons. It is easy to learn, you can do it anywhere, and it does not take much to get started. All you need is some aida, threads, a needle, pair of scissors, and comfortable place to stitch.

Who am I?

My name is Monique, and I am the owner of Ringcat. I am a geeky cat lover who loves everything to do with cross stitch. I listen to alternative rock music, am a vegan and wear practical alternative clothing. In 2015, I was diagnosed with a slowly progressive motor neuron disease. With the right modifications, I am able to design cross stitch patterns, which gives me the chance to be creative again. I enjoy it a lot!

Why only small patterns?

Cross stitching can be a fantastic hobby, but not everyone wants to make a cross stitch masterpiece that will take weeks, months, or even years to finish. Sometimes you just want to relax and finish your creative project in an afternoon or so. That is why I started creating cross stitch patterns and kits that are small, fast ,and easy to make. They will fit an 3-inch embroidery hoop. All my patterns and kits come with clear instructions so beginners can also experience the joy of cross stitching. Finished cross stitch pieces make a perfect little handmade gift for yourself or for others.

What are my favorite designs?

My favorite cross stitch designs are the word puns that make me smile when I make them. I also design cute, colorful and minimalist patterns that I can imagine you using for making ornaments, wall decor or use to embellish for instance tea towels or anything else you can imagine. To give you a better idea of what the finished patterns will look like, Sam is cross stitching my patterns for me with love and care.

I hope you have a much fun cross stitching my patterns and kits as I had designing them.

Happy Stitching,
